Gerald Horn, M.D. is a laser vision specialist and is one of the pioneers in the refractive surgery field, having dedicated the majority of his career full-time to laser vision surgery. He even trained in and helped pioneer procedures that evolved into LASIK. As a LAISK expert, Dr. Horn has performed over 112,000 laser correction surgeries. He is an emeritus member of the company’s Medical Advisory Board and continues to evolve and contribute best practices for achieving clinical and operational excellence.

Dr. Horn is proud to work with the outstanding team of doctors and staff at the team in Chicago who use their experience and technology, particularly specialized, painless corneal scans of the front of the eye to identify and safe candidates for LASIK and create their individualized treatment plans, which is the critical starting point to great outcomes. This benefit allows Dr. Horn and his team to provide patients optimized correction across the cornea based on their unique vision correction needs.
Dr. Horn’s other interests include ophthalmic drug development, with many issued and pending patents. He is also the inventor of new drugs, including “Luminesse”, an extended use eye whitener, and “Liquid Vision”, (as Lenz 100 & 101 acquired by Lenz Therapeutics, where he is Senior Science Advisor) a drop currently under FDA trials designed to temporarily after application, restore reading vision.
