Before you book
Am I a candidate for LASIK surgery?
Potential candidates must meet a few baseline criteria. Your virtual consultation is a great place to talk through any of them.
At least 18 years old
LASIK requires you to be at least 18. If you’re younger, a consultation can help you plan ahead for when you’re eligible.
Controlled health conditions
If you have diabetes or certain autoimmune diseases, they must be controlled to be a good candidate for LASIK eye surgery.
Medications disclosed
Certain medications can slow or prevent healing. Tell your surgeon about all medications you’re taking or have taken in the last year, so your recovery stays safe and fast.
Timing around pregnancy
Hormonal fluctuations caused by pregnancy can impact vision stability. Your LASIK physicians and health care professionals can advise how soon after welcoming your new addition you can enjoy your LASIK.
