The procedure
What to expect during your procedure
The procedure typically takes only a few minutes, performed by your LASIK surgeon at the WaveLight® Workstation.
Numbing drops
You receive a series of anesthetic drops in each eye, then lie down on a bed under the WaveLight® Workstation.
The flap is created
Your surgeon creates a precise flap in each cornea, exposing the underlying tissue for treatment.
The EX500 reshapes your cornea
Small, rapid bursts of the laser carefully reshape your cornea closer to its ideal shape for clear, focused vision. You simply focus on a small blinking light above you.
Eye tracking keeps it precise
Don’t worry if your eyes move a little bit. Sophisticated eye-tracking technology corrects your vision precisely throughout.
Recovery
Immediately after your procedure
